Some people think that contemporary clocks will give a house a drastically different feel from more traditional ones. But many of these clocks are only a little bit different from the way clocks were in the old days. For instance, I’ve seen a new style of grandfather clock that looked as though it should be old. But upon looking closer, I discovered it was made of metal grape vines. They didn’t tend to make clocks like that two hundred years ago, but this particular piece had a very ancient feel to it. So consider a new style, even if you want to create an ancient feel.
